Sun care is possibly the most overlooked and misunderstood part of skincare. Yet, it has the most damaging effects when neglected. While sun protection is an essential part of a healthy routine, it's shocking how often we ignore it, even among those who care for their skin in other ways.
The team at BeeWildOutside loves the outdoors! We spend an abundant amount of time adventuring in the natural world, so we had to come to terms with our relationship with the sun.
Sun protection isn't just a good idea, it's crucial. Simultaneously, you can be using an eco-friendly sunscreen that does not hurt our environment. To do that you have to take packaging into consideration. As sustainability geeks and entrepreneurs, we want to make a HUGE positive impact with our sustainable packaging systems.
Bee Wild Outside is making sun care that is healthy, inside (formula) and out (packaging), for you and the planet. Our sunscreen formulas are cleaner, and our packaging systems are an alternative to the hundreds of millions of single-use plastic containers used every year.

Alexandra Merlino
Alex is an entrepreneur who loves bringing solution-based products to market and who believes that business can drive social impact and environmental change. With each project Alex asks, what impact are we making? As an outspoken advocate defending public lands, preserving wild places and protecting the environment, Alex wants to impact the relationship between consumers and the environment. By launching Bee Wild Outside and making sustainable alternatives for single-use plastics she can do just that.

Kathy’s passion for the outdoors drove her to combine her engineering and manufacturing background into creating products with a cradle-to-cradle ethos. Her life mission is to make systems more sustainable through design in order to elevate our community of living beings. Kathy spends her free time wondering the mountains on camping trips with her dog, Onyx, identifying native plants, or cooking delicious farm-to-table meals.
